William is looking forward to first grade. He did very well in kindergarten and he's sure he'll be a star in first grade as well. After all, he has some impressive reading skills and he also has a nifty pencil case he won the year before.
But William soon finds out that first grade is harder than kindergarten. He decides he'd rather stay
home from school.
He is happily surprised when his father agrees to let him stay home from school. He looks forward to playing all day with his little brothers.
But Dad has other plans and William has to re-evaluate his plan to retire from school at the age of six.
